View Mailchimp Campaign Activity on a Constituent Timeline
You can view engagement activity for linked email campaigns directly from a constituent’s timeline. This provides a quick “window” into how the constituent interacted with an email.
Open the constituent record and go to the Timeline.
Select Timeline Filters, then check Mailchimp History to display email activity.
If the email was interacted with, the timeline can show:
Email opens.
Link clicks.
Email bounces.
If the email was not interacted with, no activity details appear on the timeline.
Open the Corresponding Mailchimp Campaign Record
You can access more detailed information by opening the related email campaign record.
Locate the email activity item on the Timeline.
Click the timeline entry to open the corresponding campaign record in the email platform.
Understand Tracking and Visibility Limitations
Email activity is displayed based on live data from the email platform and is subject to tracking limitations.
If an email is read in a preview pane or the recipient has image blocking enabled, tracking pixels may be blocked and the email open may not be recorded.
There can be a delay of several hours when data first syncs after linking. When viewing a timeline, activity data may also take a few moments to appear while it refreshes.
⚠️ Important:
Email activity details are not stored in the system. Because the data is shown live from the email platform, it cannot be searched or reported on using lists.
Import Mailchimp Activity as Static Records (Optional)
If you need email activity available for searching or reporting, you can import it as static activity records.
Export the required email activity data from the email platform.
Import the file using the File Uploader as an activity type.
📌 Note:
Imported activity data is static and reflects the information at the time of export. It does not update automatically.
