How Donorfy Receives JustGiving Data

Fundraising Page details, including fundraiser information and page totals—are updated nightly.
Donations and Gift Aid
Donation and Gift Aid payments arrive weekly, typically on Thursday night.
These payments represent donations that have recently been paid out into your organisation’s bank account.
A summary of the latest information received can be found under Integrations, then JustGiving, then Settings. It includes:
Data last retrieved on (mm/dd/yyyy) – the date Donorfy last received data from JustGiving.
Most recent donation payment received (mm/dd/yyyy) – the donation’s transaction date, not when it was added.
Most recent Gift Aid payment received (mm/dd/yyyy) – the transaction date relating to the latest Gift Aid payment.
Report on Your JustGiving Transactions
You can use Transaction Lists to report on donations, Gift Aid, processing fees, and JustGiving reference values. These lists allow detailed reconciliation of payouts and transaction-level comparison with JustGiving reports.
Key Fields for Reporting in Transaction Lists
The following fields are particularly useful when analysing JustGiving transactions:
Reference: Fundraising Page name.
Payment Reference 1: Invoice Number / Payment Reference.
Payment Reference 2: Fundraising Page ID.
Payment Reference 3: JustGiving Donation ID.
Gift Aid Amount Claimed: Gift Aid claimed by JustGiving.
Processing Costs Amount: The fee charged by JustGiving, including Gift Aid fees.
Standard fields such as Fund, Campaign, Payment Method, Product, and Connected Constituent may also be used to refine reporting.
Understanding Transaction Dates in Donorfy
When reviewing Transaction Lists, note the following date definitions:
Date Added: The date the donation record was added to Donorfy.
Transaction Date: The actual donation date.
Date Paid: Same as the donation date for JustGiving transactions.
Accounting Date: The JustGiving payout date.
