Before You Begin

  1. Ensure your Eventbrite account is already connected to Donorfy.

  2. Create your event in Eventbrite.

  3. Create the corresponding Campaign in Donorfy (if needed).

Connect an Eventbrite Event to a Donorfy Campaign

  1. Open the relevant Campaign in Donorfy.

  2. Click the Eventbrite tab.

  3. In the Event section, use the Eventbrite event to which this Campaign is matched dropdown to select your event.

Once selected, you can configure how attendee and buyer data should flow into Donorfy.

Option 1: Ticket Buyer plus Attendees in Eventbrite, but Only Ticket Buyer in Donorfy

Goal

See all attendees in Eventbrite, but only the ticket buyer is added as a constituent in Donorfy.

How to set this up

  1. In Eventbrite, click Order Form, select Each Attendee.

  2. In Donorfy, open the Campaign, click Eventbrite tab.

  3. Set Create an Activity for each attendee to Yes.

  4. In Exclude attendees holding these ticket types, enter the ticket types or add-ons you want Donorfy to ignore.

This prevents additional attendee records being created in Donorfy while still showing them in Eventbrite.

Option 2: Ticket Buyer plus Attendees in Both Eventbrite and Donorfy

Goal

See ticket buyer and all attendees in both Eventbrite and Donorfy.

📌Note:

  • Some attendees may not provide full personal details.

  • Your Donorfy constituent count will grow with each attendee imported.

How to set this up

  1. In Eventbrite, click Order Form, select Each Attendee.

  2. In Donorfy, open the Campaign, click Eventbrite tab.

  3. Set Create an Activity for each attendee to Yes.

  4. Leave Exclude attendees holding these ticket types empty unless you want to exclude non-attendee items (e.g. T-shirt add-ons).

Option 3: Only the Ticket Buyer in Both Eventbrite and Donorfy

Goal

See only the ticket buyer in both systems; attendees are not recorded individually.

How to set this up

In Eventbrite, navigate to Order Form, select Ticket Buyer.

This ensures no attendee-level detail is collected or passed into Donorfy.

Complete Communication and Transaction Mappings

After choosing your preferred option:

Communication Consents

Add your consent mappings so supporter preferences flow correctly.

Transaction Settings

Configure Campaign-level transaction mappings for this event, including:

  • Product.

  • Fund.

  • Department.

  • Payment Method (where applicable).

Once configured, click Save Changes.

⚠️Important:

  • Changes made after the event is live only apply to new ticket purchases.

  • Previously imported attendees or transactions will not be updated retroactively.
