⚠️ Important:
The integration runs automatically or on demand. Donations and fundraising activity can appear in Donorfy within minutes of being created in Enthuse.

Understand How the Integration Works

The Enthuse integration removes the need for spreadsheets or manual imports.

  1. Create a donation or fundraising page in Enthuse.

  2. Allow the integration to automatically add the data into Donorfy.

The integration can run:

  • Automatically, updating approximately every 15 minutes.

  • On demand, when manually triggered.

See What Data Is Added to Donorfy

Enthuse collects and processes payments, then sends key information to Donorfy.

  1. Supporters are matched to existing constituents or created automatically.

  2. Consents are added to the constituent’s Communication Preference Centre.

  3. Fundraising Pages create Donorfy fundraising page records.

  4. Donations create Donorfy transactions, with soft credits applied where relevant.

📌Note:
Anonymous supporters are handled using your configured Anonymous Donor constituent.

Understand Constituent Creation and Matching

Supporters who do not choose to remain anonymous are handled automatically.

  1. Match supporters to existing constituents using Donorfy’s duplicate check.

  2. Create new constituents when no match is found.

Constituent types are set based on Enthuse data:

  • Individuals are created using your configured Individual Constituent Type.

  • Organisations are created using your configured Organisation Constituent Type.

Review How Consents Are Applied

Communication preferences are handled carefully to protect existing data.

  1. Set communication channels and preferred channel for newly created constituents.

  2. Leave communication preferences unchanged for existing constituents.

⚠️ Important:
Communication purposes are not set by the Enthuse integration.

Manage Fundraising Pages

Personal and team fundraising pages are imported automatically.

  1. Create fundraising pages in Enthuse.

  2. View them in the Fundraising Pages tab in Donorfy.

  3. Link pages to individual or organisation constituent profiles.

Financial coding such as Product, Fund, Department, and Campaign is applied using best-available defaults.

Understand How Transactions Are Created

Each Enthuse donation creates a Donorfy transaction.

  1. Add the transaction to the donor’s timeline.

  2. Apply defaults for product, fund, department, campaign, payment method, and bank account.

📌 Note: Direct donations are not soft-credited unless associated with a fundraising page.

Track Fees and Soft Credits

Additional financial details are recorded automatically.

  1. Add covered processing fees to the Processing Costs field.

  2. Create soft credits for 100% of the donation value when linked to fundraising pages.

If a donation is linked to both a team and personal fundraising page:

  • A soft credit is applied to both page holders.

Understand Gift Aid Handling

Gift Aid is managed directly by Enthuse.

  1. Collect Gift Aid declarations in Enthuse.

  2. Apply the claimed Gift Aid amount to the original Donorfy transaction.

The claimed amount is available in the Gift Aid Amount Claimed field for reporting.
