Donorfy displays error and cancellation reasons based on the codes provided by OnlineFundraising. These mappings help you understand why payments, payment methods, or subscriptions have failed or been cancelled, and ensure accurate reporting and troubleshooting.
Error Reasons
These reasons appear in Donorfy when OnlineFundraising supplies an ErrorCode for either a Payment Method or Subscription.

Cancel Reasons
These reasons appear when an OnlineFundraising Subscription or Payment Method has been cancelled.

Other Reasons (Fallback Logic)
If OnlineFundraising sends codes that do not match any of the defined mappings above, Donorfy applies the following fallback rules:
If GatewayErrorDescription on the Payment Method contains a value, Donorfy uses that as the reason.
If not, and CancelDescription on the Payment Method contains a value, that is used.
If neither description is provided, Donorfy applies the general reason: “By Request”.
