When a payment is refunded in Online Fundraising, Donorfy records the refund automatically so that supporter timelines and financial reporting remain accurate.
A refund results in two updates inside Donorfy:
An Activity is added to the Constituent’s Timeline documenting the refund.
A new Transaction is created with negative amounts to offset the original payment.
This ensures full financial visibility and supports accurate tax reporting.
