The Xero bank reconciliation integration allows you to match the donations recorded in Donorfy with the transactions recorded in your bank account.

How the Integration Works

A Donation Is Made

A transaction is created in Donorfy when:

  • A manually entered payment is recorded (e.g., cheque).

  • An online donation is made.

  • A recurring donation is processed.

Each Donorfy transaction contains full coding information, including:

  • Campaign.

  • Product.

  • Fund.

  • Department.

  • Other configured coding fields.

The Money Arrives in Your Bank

Funds arrive by deposit or payout from online payment processors.

Donorfy Sends the Transaction to Xero

Donorfy transmits the transaction to Xero, where a Receive Money entry is created.

Reconcile in Xero

Within Xero, you use the standard bank reconciliation features to match.

This ensures that each donation recorded in Donorfy is reconciled with the actual bank deposit.

Configuration and Mapping

Mappings between Donorfy’s coding fields and Xero’s coding structure are configured by :

Navigating to Settings, select Configuration, then click Xero Settings.

📌 Note:
The Xero integration does not use the Accounts Interface Code used by the Accounts Download feature. The two processes operate independently.

⚠️Important:The Xero integration is a Professional only feature. Essential subscribers, please contact us to find out more about upgrading.
