When you upload a file, the system reviews the column names to determine where each piece of data should be written in Donorfy. If the system cannot confidently match the columns, you will be prompted to review and confirm the field mappings.
Review and Confirm Field Mappings
After uploading your file, click Check Field Mappings when prompted.
A field-mapping screen will appear showing the columns from your file and the available Donorfy fields.
Complete the Field Mapping
Select the type of data contained in your file (e.g., Constituents, Activities, Transactions).
For each column in your file:
Use the dropdown to choose the correct Donorfy field.
Confirm that each column maps to the intended field.
When all fields are mapped, click Save Changes.
Process the Upload
After saving your mapping:
The system will validate the file using your selected mappings.
If all mappings are valid, the upload will proceed to the next stage of processing.
