Enable Automatic Acknowledgements
Open your Web Widget, Donation Form, or Campaign Donation Page.
Locate the setting Send Acknowledgement Emails Immediately.
Set this to Yes to enable automatic sending.
Save your changes.
When enabled, acknowledgement emails are sent as soon as Donorfy receives confirmation of the payment from Stripe or GoCardless.
📌 Note:
If automatic sending is turned off, all acknowledgements will appear in the Acknowledgements queue for manual sending.
Use Your Own Direct Debit Acknowledgement (GoCardless Widgets)
For GoCardless Web Widgets, you can choose to send your own Direct Debit confirmation acknowledgements instead of using the standard GoCardless emails.
This option allows you to:
Maintain consistent branding and messaging.
Reduce the number of notifications your supporters receive.
Provide tailored information relevant to your membership or donation process.
Enable this option within your GoCardless Widget configuration.
Add Donation Data to Acknowledgement Emails
You can automatically insert details such as the supporter’s last donation amount into acknowledgement emails.
To do this:
Open your acknowledgement template in Donorfy.
Insert merge fields for the data you want to display (e.g. donation amount).
Save the template.
These values will populate automatically for each supporter when the email is sent.
