If a constituent has a postal address, Donorfy provides a convenient Copy to Clipboard button. This allows you to quickly copy a formatted version of the constituent’s address—including the salutation—ready for pasting into external documents.

Use the Copy to Clipboard Button

  1. Open the constituent record and scroll to the Address section.

  2. If the constituent has a postal address, the Copy to Clipboard button appears above the address.

  3. Click the button to copy the formatted address to your clipboard.

  4. Paste the copied address into your document or email.

How the Copied Address Is Formatted

When copied, the address is automatically built using the following rules:

Label name:

  • If a custom label name exists, it is used.

  • If not, Donorfy uses the default label name.

House name or number and Address Line 1:

  • If the house name is longer than 5 characters, it appears on a separate line from Address Line 1.

Address Line 2

Town

County

Postcode

A blank line

Salutation:

  • If a custom salutation exists, it is used.

  • If not, Donorfy uses the default salutation.

  • The salutation is preceded by Dear.
