Donorfy does not allow images to be embedded directly into acknowledgements, documents, or Forms. Instead, you must link to an image that is hosted online. The image must be publicly accessible so that any Donorfy user, and all recipients, can view or print it.
Using hosted images also ensures that updates—such as a new logo—appear automatically across all templates without editing each one manually.
Use Hosted Images
Images already used on your organisation’s website are ideal because they already have a stable URL. You may also use hosted images from online storage services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, provided the files are shared publicly.
📌 Note:
If the image is not publicly accessible, Donorfy will not be able to display it.
Add an Image to a Document or Form
Open the acknowledgement, document template, or Form branding area.
Click the Image button in the editor.
Paste the image URL into the URL field.
Set optional height, width, alignment, and alt text.
Click OK to insert the image.
Click Save .
Use Google Drive Images
To display Google Drive images correctly, the file must be made public and the URL must be reformatted.
Make the File Public
Open Google Drive and select the image file.
Click Share.
Under Get Link, click the dropdown.
Select Anyone with the link.
Set the permission to Viewer.
Click Copy Link.
Modify the Google Drive URL
Google Drive links must be converted before use.
Your link will look similar to:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/FILEID/view?usp=sharing
Make the following changes:
Replace
/file/d/with/uc?export=download&id=Remove
/view?usp=sharing
Your updated link should look like:
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=FILEID
Insert the Image
Paste the modified URL into the Image URL field in Donorfy.
Adjust size and positioning as required.
Save your document.
📌 Note:
If an image still does not display, Google may be applying additional security. Use the Google Drive URL decoder at:
https://www.labnol.org/embed/google/drive/
Paste your original sharing link into the decoder to obtain a Direct Image Link and use that URL instead.
Use Dropbox Images
You can create a free Dropbox account and share a picture - see this for more info. From Dropbox copy the link to your picture.
Dropbox links must also be adjusted for use in Donorfy.
Your Dropbox link will look similar to:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/FILEID/myimage.png
To convert it:
If the link ends with
?dl=0, change it to:
?dl=0&raw=1If the link has no query string, add:
?raw=1
Examples:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/FILEID/myimage.png?raw=1
https://www.dropbox.com/s/FILEID/myimage.png?dl=0&raw=1
Then:
Paste the updated link into the Image URL field.
Set optional height and width.
Click OK, then save your changes.
🤓Tip: To add a signature image, upload a scanned signature to Dropbox and use it in the same way as any other image.
