How Preferred Channel Affects List Output
The preferred channel selected in the constituent record controls what appears in Constituent Lists and when downloading data to Excel:
If Email Is the Preferred Channel
The preferred email address is displayed in the list output.
The preferred address links to the address associated with the same contact tab as the email.
If Address Is the Preferred Channel
The preferred address is displayed in the list output.
The preferred email address is taken from the email tab associated with that address.
If Do Not Contact Is Selected
No contact details are displayed in any preferred contact fields.
π Note:
This does not prevent syncing to Mailchimp.
See the Constituent Profiles set as Do Not Contact section in What does the Donorfy to Mailchimp sync do?
