Can I reassign a Gift Aid Declaration?

Learn what to do if a Gift Aid Declaration (GAD) has been assigned to the wrong constituent and needs to be corrected.

Gift Aid Declarations cannot be reassigned. Instead, you must reverse the Gift Aid claimed, remove the incorrect declaration, and add a new one to the correct constituent.

Remove the Incorrect Declaration

  1. Open the incorrect constituent’s Timeline.

  2. Locate the Gift Aid Declaration.

  3. Delete or cancel the declaration.

  4. Add an Activity to explain the change for audit clarity.

Then navigate to the correct Constituent Profile and add a Gift Aid Declaration to the Timeline.
