Pausing an RPI allows supporters to stop payments for a defined period without cancelling their instruction.

Pause an RPI

  1. Open the constituent’s Timeline.

  2. Select the RPI you want to pause.

  3. Click the Manage button.

  4. Choose Pause.

  5. Enter the pause details:

    • Reason – Selected from the standard list of reasons.

    • From Date – The first day the pause begins.

    • To Date – The last day of the pause period (end of day).

  6. Click Pause Instruction to save the changes.

Once paused, the RPI will show its paused status in:

  • The RPI header

  • The RPI description on the Timeline

  • A new Activity added automatically

📌 Note: Add an Activity with a Task scheduled for the end of the pause period. This ensures a reminder is sent to resume the RPI when the pause ends.

Resume (Un-Pause) an RPI

  1. Open the paused RPI from the constituent’s Timeline.

  2. Click Resume.

The next payment will be billed for the current month.

📌 Note: You can resume an RPI at any point, either at the end of the pause period or earlier if the supporter requests it.
