Gifts in Memory (in memoriam) and Gifts in Celebration connect the donation to the person / tribute fund in whose memory the donation was made.

This will ensure accurate reporting,Gift Aid processing, and acknowledgements.

Preparation

  1. Create a constituent that will represent the person or tribute fund.

    • Either an already existing constituent that is archived as Deceased or a dedicated Tribute Fund constituent (you may need to add a constituent type).

  2. If you want to send a specific acknowledgement, create Thank You Letter.

  3. If you want to track all in memory or celebration gifts together, create a Campaign.

Enter the Donations

  1. Add the donations to the constituent timeline that is donating.

  2. Select the correct Campaign (if you have set one up).

  3. Click Connect to connect the donation to the tribute fund/deceased person.
