Upload Memberships and Members

Learn how to upload memberships and add up to six members per membership using the data preparation template.

Prepare Your Membership Data

  1. Download the Data Preparation Template and open the RPI Memberships worksheet.

  2. Copy the worksheet into a new workbook to prepare your upload.

  3. Complete all required membership fields, including the Membership Start Date.

  4. Review your data, then save the file in the required format.

πŸ“Œ Note: The Membership Start Date is the date the membership began or the member first joined. This is not the same as the payment start date, which is set separately.


Set the Primary Member

  1. Link each RPI Membership to the correct constituent.

  2. The linked constituent is automatically set as the Primary Member.

  3. If you do not want the linked constituent to become the primary member,for example, for a gift membership: set Constituent Is Primary Member to No.

  4. You can upload additional members using the RPI Members upload process.


Add Members to a Membership

Each membership can include up to six members.

Primary Member

The first member must be a constituent and is set as the Primary Member.
The upload template includes a full set of constituent fields for this member.

Additional Members (2–6)

For members two to six, enter the following details:

  • Title

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Gender

  • Date of Birth
