Reassigning a transaction allows you to assign an anonymous donation to a constituent if you find out who gave a donation or move transactions if needed.
Why to reassign a Transaction
To move transactions between constituents - e.g. if a transaction had been entered against the wrong constituent.
To make a donation anonymous - e.g. if a transaction was incorrectly linked to a constituent.
How to reassign a Transaction
Find the transaction on the constituents timeline and view its details.
Select reassign from the manage menu.
Switch to Yes to make the transaction anonymous, and click Reassign.
Assign the transaction to a different Constituent
Click Find Constituent.
Ensure that make anonymous is set to No.
Click Reassign.
