Donorfy Forms can accept donations and payments using Apple Pay - a quick and easy way for your supporters to donate.
Please Note
The integration does not support the insertion of transactions from non-Donorfy forms and is only for one-off donations and payments.
Requirements
An Active Stripe connection
Donorfy Domain registered for Apple Pay with your Stripe account
Using a Donorfy Standalone Form
Payment option to be single donation/amount only - i.e regular payments and Memberships are not supported
Connecting Apple Pay
Connect to Stripe
To set the integration up you will need to ensure that your Stripe account is connected to Donorfy. To check this navigate to Settings > Configuration > Stripe Connect
Under Connect to Stripe if you see a blue button with the wording Press the button below to connect to Stripe, you will need to connect your Donorfy to Stripe as detailed here: Connecting to Stripe
If you see a disconnect button, then this means your account is already connected to Stripe and you do not need to action any connection and instead can jump to the next section.
Registering the Donorfy Domain for Apple Pay
To use Apple Pay you will need to register the Donorfy app domain within your Stripe account for Apple Pay.
This is done as follows
Go to the Apple Pay page in your Stripe account
Press the Add new domain button
In section 1 enter app.donorfy.com - as shown below - and press Add
Please note that you do not need to perform steps 2 & 3 - i.e. download and host the verification file - that are mentioned on the Stripe form.
Set Apple Pay as a payment option on your Donorfy Form(s)
For each of the Forms that you wish to provide the option for Apple Pay the payment option will need to be set within the Donation Element of that Form.
On the Processing tab within the Donation element on your form(s) make sure that 'Allow Apple Pay and Google Pay from this form' is ticked.
And Save the Changes.
Any donation forms accepting one-off Stripe payments will also be able to accept Apple Pay payments when the supporter is using Safari web browser and has an active Apple Pay wallet available. The option for payment via Apple Pay will then display as per the example below:
The Apple Pay button will only appear when the donor is using the Safari web browser and they have set up Apple Pay - for more information see this article
